The Libertine was a disaster on the female costume front.  As Crazycatlady says (with the tone of one speaking to a early-onset alzheimers) "but were they romantic".  ie perceived to be pretty in a historical costume way however less than authentic.

1an enjoyable mindless rom-com.  This class of film has it's place. Not everything has to be serious or deep & meaningfull. Keanu & Sandra have credible screen chemistry together, irrespective of silly plots.

mmmh Captain Jack. The costumes, ""romantic"" as crazycatlady would say, though at least they're not pretending to be a genuine historical biopic drama and getting it wrong.

Tom Hollander as Lord Cutler Beckett gets my approval.  I loved his portrayal of Mr Collins in Pride & Prejudice.

dagnabbit this was another week without a film

This was very entertaining for us grown up kids. Could easily be seen on a rental.

The plot is: To pay off a life-threatening debt to an unforgiving bear, a raccoon enlists a motley band of forest dwellers to lead raids upon the vast stockpiles of food in nearby, idyllic suburbia.

Well the film was good, the audience packed and full of the chattiest cathies in the universe. From old ladies tsk tsking way, to a bloke from the indian subcontinent who answered his mobile phone & *stood up* to answer it, talking all the while at loud volume.
